The AS-Motor AS 940 Sherpa 4WD RC combines the productivity of a professional ride on mower with the option to operate the machine from a safer position by radio remote control. It is designed for rough terrain, difficult access and steep sections where remaining on the machine may be uncomfortable or unnecessary.
The platform uses the same 724cc Briggs & Stratton Professional Series V Twin engine as the other Sherpa 940 models, with 22.4hp rated power and up to 27hp maximum output. Permanent four wheel drive, hydrostatic speed control and a rear differential lock provide strong traction, with travel speeds up to 6.7km/h forward and 6.5km/h in reverse.
In RC mode the operator can control driving, steering, mower deck height, blade engagement and differential lock from the transmitter. The 90cm surfing cross blade deck has variable cutting height from 80mm to 135mm and is designed to manage dense growth up to approximately 150cm.
